Multihyphenate model Ines Rau can add one more title to her list of accomplishments: dancer, martial arts enthusiast, activist, and now, Playmate. While Rau's appearance in the November 2017 issue of Playboy won't be her first as a model, it will be her first as the magazine's first transgender Playmate. "I was scared of never finding a boyfriend and being seen as weird," Rau told Playboy of her early days navigating the social scene as atrans woman. "Then I was like, You know, you should just be who you are. It's a salvation to speak the truth about yourself, whether it's your gender, sexuality, whatever. The people who reject you aren't worth it. It's not about being loved by others; it's about loving yourself."
